TWO TITLE BOUTS HIGHLIGHT HUGE CARD IN READING, PA ON SATURDAY NOVEMBER 30TH


READING, PA (October 30, 2013)—On Saturday night, November 30th at the Santander Arena, King’s Boxing presents at gigantic night of boxing that will feature two title bouts.

In the main event, Harry Joe Yorgey will take on Irishman Lee Murtagh in a bout scheduled for 12 rounds for the WBU Middleweight championship.

In the 10 round co-feature, Travis Kauffman will take on Manuel Quezada for the WBU Intercontinental Heavyweight title.

Yorgey of Bridgeport, PA has a record of 27-2-1. The popular Yorgey started his career by going 22-0-1 and had big wins over Billy Johnson (1-0); Ronnie Warrior Jr. (11-1-1); Jason LeHoullier and a signature 9th round stoppage over Ronald Hearns (21-0).

The Hearns victory set up an HBO Televised fight with Alfredo Angulo for the WBO Jr. Middleweight title. Unfortunately Yorgey came up short. Yorgey then went on to win three in a row which included a 1st round stoppage over undefeated Zain Shah (5-0). Since dropping a bout to undefeated Jermell Charlo, Yorgey has won two in a row over Julius Kennedy with the latest being a 10 round majority decision on June 15th in Valley Forge, PA.

Murtagh of Leeds, England has a record of 33-15-1 with 1 knockout. Murtagh has been a professional for 18 years as he turned pro on June 12, 1995 with a decision over Dave Curtis.

Murtagh has wins over Jason Rushton (13-0); Graham Deleheady (9-2); Darren Cruise (3-0) & Joe Hillerby (7-0). Murtagh made his American debut when he gave away over 12 pounds in dropping a close decision to Hector Camacho Jr. on August 8th.

Kauffman of Reading, PA has a record of 26-1 with 19 knockouts.

He has risen to Number-ten by the WBA.

He won his first 18 bouts with wins over William Shahan (7-1) and Malachy Farrell (16-1) before his only blemish to Tony Grano.

Kauffman is riding an eight bout winning streak with wins over Chris Koval (24-6) and his last bout when he stopped Stacy Frazier in two rounds onSeptember 21 in Winston-Salem, NC.

Quezada of Wasco, California has a record of 29-7 with 18 knockouts.

The 36 year-old Quezada turned pro in 2001 and has faced top competition.

He holds wins over Rick Dyer (13-1); Galen Brown (29-5-1); Teke Oruh (14-1); Eric Bppse (14-3-1); Travis Walker (31-2).

Quezada is looking to get back in the win column after losing his last three bouts which include efforts against former world title challenger Chris Arreola and his last outing when Quezada was stopped in 7 rounds by Bowie Topou (20-1) on May 14, 2011 in Carson, California.

A terrific seven bout undercard has been assembled.

In a six round Jr. Lightweight bout, Frankie De Alba (9-1-2, 3 KO’s) of Reading, PA will take on Osnel Charles (9-6-1, 1 KO) of Atlantic City, NJ.

In an eight round Middleweight bout, Keenan Collins (15-8-3, 10 KO’s) of Reading, PA battles George Rivera (13-8-1, 4 KO’s) of Charlottesville, VA.

Pro debuting Featherweight Wilfredo Morales of Brooklyn, NY will fight Ronnie Jordan (1-3-1) of Cleveland, OH in a four round bout.

The son of the former Heavyweight champion of the world, Hasim Rahman Jr. of Las Vegas will make his pro debut against Glyn Thomas (1-1) of Stroudsburg, PA in a four round Cruiserweight bout.

In a four round Light Heavyweight bout, Khalib “Big Foot” Whitmore (2-0, 1 KO) of Philadelphia will square off with Mark Baltimore (1-2) of South Carolina.

In a four round Heavyweight bout, Randy Easton (0-2-1) of Williamsport, PA takes on pro debuting David Vasquez of Stroudsburg, PA.

Rounding out the card will be hard punching Welterweight Rafael Montalvo(3-4, 3 KO’s) of St. Claire, PA will box Irihim Shabazz (1-2-1) of Paterson, NJ in a four round bout.

MEET AND GREET PLUS ROUND CARD GIRL CONTEST THIS SATURDAY AT THE VALLEY FORGE CASINO RESORT

VALLEY FORGE, PA (July 31, 2013)—This Saturday night at the Valley Forge Casino Resort, fans can meet the fighters who will be participating on big night of boxing on August 23rd at the same venue.
The meet and Greet as well as a round card girl contest will take place at the Pool at The Valley Forge Casino beginning at 8pm.
In the main event, Naim Nelson (10-0, 1 KO) will defend the Pennsylvania Lightweight title when he takes on Ryan Belasco (18-5-3, 3 KO’s).  In the co-feature, WBA Number-13 ranked Heavyweight Travis Kauffman (24-1, 18 KO’s) will take on an opponent to be named in a bout scheduled for eight rounds.
In an eight round bout, Harry Joe Yorgey (27-2-1, 12 KO’s) takes on George Rivera (13-8-1, 4 KO’s) in a Middleweight bout.

COLLINS STOPS RIVERA IN EIGHT; KINCH DECISIONS MIRANDA AND THOMPSON STOPS BLAKE IN ALLENTOWN


DE ALBA, RIDEOUT AND QUINONES ALL NOTCH WINS

ALLENTOWN, PA (February 11, 2013)—This past Saturday night at the Rodeway Inn, Kings Boxing Promotions put on a terrific night of both amateur and Professional boxing that was highlighted by big wins by Keenan Collins, Aaron Kinch and John Thompson.
In the final bout of the evening, Aaron Kinch scored a six round William Miranda in a Heavyweight bout.
The two waged an action packed war with both landing thunderous power shots.  It was Kinch who landed the more significant blows that opened a nasty cut over the right eye of Miranda and caused swelling on the face.  Miranda took some great shots and showed a heart of steel to continue to press the action.  It was the scoring blows of Kinch that carried him to the victory of 60-54 on all cards.
Keenan Collins scored a stoppage in the eighth and final round over George Rivera in a rematch of a draw that took place ten months earlier. 
It was Rivera who jumped out to the early by boxing well over the first half of the fight. Collins came back and started to land some hard power shots that started to wear down Rivera.  In round eight Collins dropped Rivera twice that led to the stoppage at 2:16 of the final round.
Impressive Jr. Middleweight John Thompson scored a stoppage at the end of round five of his scheduled six round bout over Grayson Blake.  
Thompson worked a quick jab that started carving up the nose and face of Blake and continued that pinpoint punch for much of the fight.  Thompson would occasionally mix in a right hand that would land as Blake would come in.
Frankie De Alba was impressive in taking all six rounds from Isaac Suarez in their Lightweight bout. 
The southpaw from Reading, PA landed some solid power punches that backed Suarez up and De Alba was in control for most of the fight.
Mark Rideout of Philadelphia remained undefeated with a four round split decision over Eric Newell in a Heavyweight bout.
There was noy much sustained action in this bout the featured a lot of fighting on the inside.  Scores were 39-37 on two cards for Rideout.  While Newell grabbed a third card 39-37.
In the opener, Sammy Quinones got his first victory in style as he scored a third round stoppage over Charles Mack in a scheduled four round Jr. Welterweight bout.

KINGS PROMOTIONS BACK WITH AN ACTION PACKED SHOW THIS SATURDAY AT THE RODEWAY INN IN ALLENTOWN, PA


KEENAN COLLINS TO BATTLE GEORGE RIVERA IN MAIN EVENT PLUS JOHN THOMPSON BATTLES GRAYSON BLAKE AND HEAVYWEIGHTS AARON KINCH AND WILLIAM MIRANDA

ALLENTOWN, PA (February 7, 2013)—This Saturday night a big night of boxing will originate from the Rodeway Inn in Allentown, PA promoted Marshall Kauffman’s Kings Promotions.
In the main event, local favorite Keenan Collins will take on George Rivera in the eight round Jr. Middleweight main event.  The bout is a rematch of a draw between the two that took place on April 27, 2012
An exciting co-feature has been added as undefeated Jr. Middleweight John Thompson takes on once-beaten Grayson Blake in a six round bout.
Collins (14-7-3, 9 KO’s) of York, PA is on a two fight unbeaten streak and has fought some of the top Jr. Middleweights such as former world title challengers Delvin Rodriguez and Gabriel Rosado as well as top contenders Jose Angel Rodriguez, Henry Crawford and Charles Whittaker
Rivera (13-7-1, 4 KO’s) of Charlottesville, VA has a similar resume to Collins as he has been in with top competition such as former world champion Manny Siaca as well as contenders Latif Mundy, & James Stevenson.  Rivera has key wins over former Contender contestant Jonathan Reid and undefeated Jesse Nicklow.
Thompson (10-0, 3 KO’s) of Newark, NJ has been stepping up the competition with each fight.  The twenty-three year old has quality wins over Jermond Bourgeois (TKO 2), John Mackey (UD) and his last bout when he scored a six round unanimous decision over Elie Augustama on December 1st at Madison Square Garden as part of the Austin Trout – Miguel Cotto championship fight card.
Blake (5-1, 2 KO’s) of State College, PA won his first five contests which includes a six round unanimous decision over then undefeated DeCarlo Perez.  Blake will be looking to get back in the win column following his first professional blemish when he dropped a six round unanimous decision to Robert Sockwell on November 10th in Reading, PA
In a six round Heavyweight slugfest, Aaron Kinch (4-1-1, 1 KO) of Newark, NJ takes onWilliam Miranda (6-5-2) of Allentown.
In a six round Super Featherweight bout, Frankie De Alba (5-1-2, 2 KO’s) of Reading, PA takes on Lancaster, PA native Isaac Suarez (7-2, 3 KO’s)

This will be a rematch of a hotly contested draw that took place on April 27, 2012
Collins of York, PA has a record of 14-7-3 with nine knockouts.
Collins is known as a quality boxer with good power and has only been defeated by the best such as former world title challenger Delvin Rodriguez as well as contenders Gabriel Rosado and Charles Whittaker.
Rivera of Charlottesville, VA is similar to Collins as his record reads 13-7-1 with four knockouts.
Rivera has signature wins over undefeated Lawrence Jones and Jesse Nickelow (19-0-1) as well as former Contender Season 1 contestant Jonathan Reid.
In a special six round co-feature, undefeated John “Apollo Kidd” Thompson risks his perfect ledger when he battles Grayson Blake in a Jr, Middleweight bout.
Thompson of Newark, NJ has a record of 10-0 with three knockouts and has quality wins over Jamond Bourgeois, John Mackey and in his last bout he scored a six round unanimous decision over Ellie Augustama which was part of the Miguel Cotto – Austin Trout card at Madison Square Garden this past December 1st.

KEENAN COLLINS TO TAKE ON GEORGE RIVERA IN A REMATCH ON SATURDAY FEBRUARY 9TH IN ALLENTOWN, PA

ALLENTOWN, PA (January 3, 2013)—On Saturday night February 9th, boxing returns to the Rodeway Inn in Allentown, PA, Marshall Kauffman’s King’s Promotions presents a Pro-Am show.
In the eight round main event, Jr. Middleweight Keenan Collins will take on George Rivera in a rematch of their hotly contested draw that took place on April 27, 2012.
