In the main event on "Royale Rumble," presented by Big Six Entertainment in association with Danny Kelly Promotions, "Irish" Joey McCreedy (17-6-2, 6 KOs) won a unanimous six-round decision over Steven "Too Sharpshooter" Tyner (3-13-2, 2 KOs) McCreedy, fighting out of the same hometown as "Irish" Micky Ward (Lowell, Mass.) and his trainer Dicky Eklund, plans to fight as a super middleweight in 2014. Santos had stopped his previous eight opponents. The game Franklin has been stopped only once, by undefeated contender Bryant Jennings. Brockton welterweight (MA) Antonio Chaves Fernandez (4-13-2) upset Stoneham (MA)  Greg Vendetti (4-1-1, 2 KOs) by way of a majority six-round decision in a rematch of their four-round draw this past July at the same venue. In a battle of former world title challengers, Marshfield (MA) junior middleweight Aleksandra Magdziak Lopes (10-2-1, 1 KO) and "Notorious" Nicole Woods (11-2-3, 3 KOs) fought to a six-round majority draw. McCreedy & Traietti fighting on 'Royale Rumble' In potential prelude to rematch

PROVIDENCE (Nov. 14, 2013) - Two of New England's best and most popular boxers, "Irish" Joey McCreedy and Chris Traietti, will be fighting in the main event and co-feature, respectively, on the "Royale Rumble" card, presented by Big Six Entertainment, November 23 on a special Saturday afternoon card (5 p.m. ET start) at The Royale Nightclub Boston (formerly The Roxy). McCreedy won a six-round split decision over Traietti back on January 1, 2008 at Foxwoods Resort Casino.  Their separate Nov. 23rd fights may serve as a prelude to a possible rematch in 2014, although both fighters soon plan to move down in weight classes, McCreedy to super middleweight and Traietti to light heavyweight.  They could, however, agree to meet at an agreeable catch-weight in what would be a major New England showdown. McCreedy (14-6-2, 6 KOs), fighting out of the same hometown as "Irish" Micky Ward (Lowell, Mass.), is trained by Ward's brother, Dicky Eklund.  His opponent in the six-round bout is Nigerian light heavyweight Dennis Ogboo (7-7, 6 KOs), who lives in Lexington, Kentucky. McCreedy has dedicated his Nov. 23rd fight to Dianne Levasseur, the mother of his close friend, who passed away last year with breast cancer.  The 28-year-old McCreedy will wear pink ribbons on his shorts. "I was supposed to fight last month (Breast Cancer Awareness Month) in Rhode Island," McCreedy explained, "but that fight was canceled so I'm dedicating this fight to Dianne. I want women with breast cancer to know they're not fighting alone.  We may fight in the ring, but these women are the real warriors.  They're fighting for their lives.  They aren't alone in their fight to survive; we have their backs.  Cancer effects everybody - friends and family - and I just want breast cancer victims to know we care." McCreedy hasn't fought since this past St. Patrick's Day, when he won a unanimous eight-round decision over Michael Walchuk.   He claims this will be his last fight as a light heavyweight. "After this fight I want to tackle the top super middleweights," McCreedy said.  "I've been known to party after a fight and put on weight.  I'm getting a little older and I'm already on weight.  I has my fight canceled last month but stayed focused and in the gym. I ran a lot and the weight came off easier since I rededicated myself to training. Estrada wins fourth straight fight; KOs Brown in 5th round

PROVIDENCE (November 10, 2012) -- 2004 U.S. Olympian Jason "Big Six" Estrada (20-4, 6 KOs) won his fourth straight fight Saturday night with a fifth-round knockout of veteran heavyweight Galen "Bad Boy" Brown (38-21-1, 23 KOs) at the Rhode Island Convention Center. Estrada-Brown was the main event on the "Big Things" card, presented by Big Six Promotions. Estrada continued displaying improved punching power, dropping Brown in the fifth, and then finishing him off with a series of stiff punches until the referee halted the action. "I wanted to get that knockout," Estrada explained why he boxed less than normal. "I need knockouts. I've been sitting down more on my punches like my pops (father/trainer Roland Estrada) has been saying. I put the pressure on him. He was sticking his tongue out and doing other stuff like that, but I banged his body and then caught him. He was trying to hold my head down at the end when I caught him with some good shots. I'm not sure what's next. There's some talk going on and hopefully it'll be a big fight." A Stacked Undercard Announced for Oct 27 at The Turning Stone Resort Casino

STACKED UNDERCARD ANNOUNCED

October 22, 2012 - A stacked undercard is expected to entertain those in attendance at the Turning Stone Resort Casino on October 27, when Gary Shaw Productions in association with Greg Cohen Promotions, DiBella Entertainment, Thompson Boxing Promotions, Universal Promotions, Prize Fight, Joe Deguardia's Star Boxing, and Zanfer Promotions present an exciting night of boxing. HBO BOXING AFTER DARK® will televise a special triple-header beginning at 10:15 p.m. ET/PT. 

Undefeated featherweight Joel Brunker (23-0, 13 KOs) ranked No. 3 by the WBO, who hails from South Wales, Australia, will put his undefeated record on the line against Carlos Fulgencio (19-8-1, 12 KOs) in an 8-round bout.  Brunker competed at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece and looks to showcase his exciting style in his USA debut.

"I'm really excited to be fighting for Gary Shaw here in the U.S.," said Brunker. "I've been training in Las Vegas for the last eight weeks, getting prepared for this fight.  I'm coming to make an impressive first impression for all the fans that'll see me fight for the first time."

Power punching Puerto Rican prospect, Javier Flores (7-0, 7 KOs) will face Riverside, California's Alberto Herrera (8-7-1, 5 KOs) in an 8-round slugfest in the welterweight division.  Flores is known for having power in both hands and he plans to use them in this fight.

"My power is evident as you can see in my record," Flores said. "I always go for the knockout and nothing will be different in this fight.  I've stopped all my opponents but people will see that I can box if I need to.  I'm ready to go."

Newark, New Jersey's unbeaten light middleweight prospect, John Thompson (9-0, 3 KOs), squares off against Chicago, Illinois' Christopher Chatman (10-2-1, 5 KOs).  This bout is scheduled for six rounds and Thompson promises to bring an explosive fight.

"Chatman is a good fighter, but I'm going to take him out," stated Thompson. "I'm fully prepared to go the distance, but I don't see this fight lasting more than three rounds."

Light heavyweight Ryan McKenzie of Nassau, Bahamas (10-0, 10 KOs) goes toe to toe with Morgantown, West Virginia's Eric Watkins (7-2, 4 KOs) in a 6-rounder.  McKenzie has lighting in both hands and he's looking to extend on his knockout streak.

"I can't wait to get back in the ring and showcase my power," says McKenzie. "If I get Watkins hurt, I'm going for the kill."

Once beaten cruiserweight, Eric Fields of Ardmore, Oklahoma (20-1, 15 KOs) and Charleston, West Virginia's Kevin Franklin (4-4, 1 KO) will battle in an 8-round bout.  Fields looks to use his experience to win this fight."

"Franklin is taking a big step up fighting me," said Fields. "I'm going to make sure he knows that it was a mistake to take this fight.  It's doomsday for Franklin."

In the 10-round main-event, undefeated Puerto Rican standout, Thomas Dulorme(16-0, 12 KOs) takes on heavy-handed Argentine, Luis Carlos Abregu (33-1, 27KO's).  The co-feature will showcase San Francisco's undefeated WBO/NABO Jr. Welterweight champion, Karim "Hard Hitta" Mayfield (16-0-1, 10 KOs) vs. Southern California's, Mauricio Herrera (18-2, 7 KOs).  A 12-round IBF lightweight championship bout between champion, Miguel Vazquez (31-3, 13 KOs) and No. 1 contender, Marvin Quintero (25-3, 21 KOs) will open up the broadcast.
