Steve Upsher ready for any and all comers at 135 & 140 lbs

Pittsburgh, PA (January 8, 2015)--After competing against fighters as much as two weight divisions out of his natural Jr. Welterweight division, Steve Upsher (24-4-1, 6 KO's) is ready to move back down and take a run at the best Jr. Welterweights in the world.   In 2014, Upsher put up a great effort in falling short against former world champion Andre Berto.  In his two previous bout, Upsher fought natural Jr. Middleweight Eddie Gomez and former Welterweight champion Luis Collazo.   "Basically I have never lost at 140 pounds.  My only losses were at 135 and I avenged that loss.  Gomez is a natural 154-pounder; Berto and Collazo are former Welterweight world champions.  All of the fights had contracted weights of 150 pounds," said Upsher.   "I am naturally a 140 pounder.  In those fights, I was eating Dairy Queen on the week of the fight just to get up to the weight.  And i was still only about 145 pounds."   With the move back down to Jr. Welterweight, Upsher has the confidence that he can compete at the highest level.   "I am willing to fight anybody.  I just want the promoters to make the reward worth the risk.  The cards are always stacked against me because I don't have a promoter.  I see some of these guys who are being moved and I know that they can't carry my jockstrap, but because they have a promoter they are all getting the right fights."   After fighting just one time in each of the past two years, Upsher wants to be more active.   "I am ready to fight three or four times this year and hopefully people will see that I am a talented fighter.  I just want an opportunity from a promoter and heck if I don't perform then they can drop me.  I just want that chance."   "Michael Perez has a chance to fight on Fox Sports 1 in Philadelphia on January  20th but his team turned down the fight saying I was too dangerous of a fight. Seriously this is a man's game.  Either s*** or get off the pot.  Stop all the picking and dodging  and fight.  The sport would be a whole lot better that way and it would weed out the gimmicks and pretenders!"

THOMAS DULORME RETAINS NABF TITLE WITH VICTORY OVER LUNDY

NEW YORK (December 6, 2014) - Tonight at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, Gary Shaw Productions Jr. Welterweight sensation and Puerto Rican star, Thomas Dulorme (22-1, 14 KOs) won a hard fought split decision victory against tough Philly fighter Hank Lundy (25-4-1, 12 KOs).  The bout was televised on HBO BOXING AFTER DARK® as part of a triple header headlined by Lemieux vs. Rosado.

Dulorme started off strong landing a powerful right hand on Lundy's temple, putting him down in round one.  The momentum carried over into the middle rounds as Lundy had no answers for Dulorme's powerful right hands.  In round six, Lundy came out strong and landed some nice power shots to help him get back in the fight.  Both fighters were giving it their all and Dulorme had to dig deep to keep Lundy at his distance.  Entering the final rounds Lundy was swinging for the fences.  Lundy was desperately trying to land a knockout punch to get him back in the fight, which was being controlled by Dulorme.  Both fighters were tired entering the final round but Thomas used his height and reach to avoid any dangerous shots to keep his lead intact.  Scorecards read 96-93 for Lundy and 96-93 and 97-92 for Dulorme who won by split decision.  With the win Dulorme retains his NABF title.

"I knew this was going to be a tough fight because Lundy is a very determined fighter," said Dulorme. "But I was in great shape and Robert Garcia, my trainer, gave me great advice in the corner.  I wasn't going to let anything get in the way of me winning this fight.  My promoter Gary Shaw, whom I'm very thankful to, told me that there are some big fights lined up for me in 2015.  I'm very excited about my future and I want to thank Gary Shaw and HBO for this opportunity.  This win was for me people back in Puerto Rico."

OXNARD, CA (November 6, 2014) - Gary Shaw Productions Jr. Welterweight contender, Puerto Rico's Thomas Dulorme (21-1, 14 KOs), has arrived in Oxnard, California to train with boxing coach Robert Garcia.   Dulorme will battle Philadelphia native Hank Lundy (25-3-1, 12 KOs) on a special triple-header edition of HBO BOXING AFTER DARK® on Saturday, December 6, 2014 headlined by Lemieux vs. Rosado.

"Everything is going as planned and training camp has begun," said top 140 lbs contender Thomas Dulorme. Q & A with Jr. Welterweight contender Emanuel Taylor

Fresh off his spirited effort against three-division world champion Adrien Broner on September 6, Jr. Welterweight contender Emanuel Taylor (18-3, 12 KO's) opens up about the fight and his future aspirations which he candid about wanting the best fights and becoming a world champion early in 2015 1. After your performance with Broner, Your stock was raised. How do you feel after that performance? I feel real good. I am ready to get back into the ring. Iam ready to show the world what I got. I have a huge fan base after that fight. They want to see me back in the ring ASAP. I am ready to get back in there in December or January. 2. You proved that you belong to be able to fight the elite fighters. You feel that you are fully entrenched to be mentioned for big fights? I sure Hope so. I feel that I only should be fighting the fights on HBO or Showtime. I am ready right now to fight all the big dogs. 3. You have been mentioned for some big fights like Khan. He just signed to fight Alexander. Who are the guys that you are looking at to fight. I would have liked that fight with Khan. I see Mauricio Herrera has a fight coming up (against Jose Benavidez). Jesse Vargas is another one. Zab Judah--I will fight him right now. Then we will from there. I see up and coming prospects Frankie Gomez. He is a good fighter. I would like to fight him as well. 4. Give me a perfect scenario for you. Do you see another fight before the end of the year? Where do you expect to be by this time next year? Hopefully I get another fight before the end of the year or January. By this time next year, I will be a world champion. I will have a belt in the 140-pound division then go up to 147 pounds for the rest of my career. Next year at this time, I would like to see Emanuel defending his world title 5. If you got a call tomorrow for a good fight at 147 pounds. Is that an issue. Not at all. I fought the beginning of my career at 147. It wasn't that type of competition. But I can handle it. (Co-Manager) Dave Price-- We spar with the likes of Julian Williams, Kermit Cintron so we know he can handle 147 pounder's. We would like to fight the bigger guys at 140. No disrespect to Danny Garcia but we would love to get a shot at him. 6. How about a fight with your fellow Beltway resident Lamont Peterson? Me and Lamont have similar styles. I have been in with him in the gym a couple times. I give him a lot of respect. I would like to get in the ring with him too. 7. How do you like this new fan base, new found fortune? I like it a lot. I am starting to see it especially on my social media. It gives me more motivation to get another fight. It also makes me train harder. 8. Any final thoughts? I want to thank D & D Management Team, my co-manager Felix Dialosio & my promoter Star Boxing for taking my career to the next level I want to shout my trainer, my father. Team Provodnikov in Russia planning Ruslan's next bout

Teenage Phenom Milton Santiago Jr. to be honored by High School board tonight

Warminster, PA (MAY 13, 2014)--TONIGHT, next to the William Tennent High School, undefeated Jr. Welterweight Milton Santiago will receive a special honor by the school board for his professional boxing career. Santiago, the youngest boxer in the history of Pennsylvania at age 17 is 4-0 with 3 knockouts is a junior at the school, will receive an achievement award just three days before his 5th professional bout which will take place on Friday night at the 2300 Arena in South Philadelphia when he will take on 25 fight veteran Josh Beeman in a 6 round bout.  The school board meeting takes place right next to the High School and will begin at 7 PM.

Promotional changes in the career of boxer Thomas Dulorme

Junior welterweight contender, Thomas Dulorme ( 20-1, 14 KO's ) from Puerto Rico not only moved his training camp to Oxnard , California under the tutelage of Robert Garcia, but he also made some changes on a promotional level.

Of the three promoters Dulorme signed in 2010, DiBella Entertainment, Universal Promotions and Gary Shaw Productions, the last one will continue with the quoted boxer.

"I bought the parts of my contract that belonged to Lou DiBella and Javier Bustillo, but Gary Shaw stays in" Dulorme said, "I felt that lately those businesses were not going well, and I had to do something about it, but this is nothing personal against DiBella and Bustillo because they have been very important in my career and I learned a lot from them but still, this is just plain business".

Dulorme , graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Art Lyceum of Technology with specialization in Delineation in Autocad; he is studying all angles of his boxing career.

"In this business everything is possible. If it's convenient for me to stay with the part of my contract, that I will do, if a possibility of renegotiation with another promoter appears , I will consider it because this is a matter of situations, and to be able to take advantage of them when they show up" Dulorme said.

Dulorme is expected to return to the ring for the month of April.

Currently the Puerto Rican is ranked #3 WBA, #5 IBF, #7 WBC and #14 WBO at the junior welterweight division.

(September 12, 2013) - Fighting in his record fifth Fight To Educate (FTE) charity event, popular welterweight Danny "Bhoy" O'Connor (23-1, 7 KOs) turned in a workmanlike performance for his ninth straight victory, recording a unanimous eight-round decision over Texas invader Raul Tover (11-8-1, 4 KOs) in tonight's main event, at Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, New Hampshire. O'Connor, fighting out of Framingham, Massachusetts, was a 2008 US Olympic Team alternate.  The popular Irish-American southpaw, co-promoted by DiBella Entertainment and Warriors Boxing, avenged a loss to Tover in the 2005 National PAL Tournament in Oxnard, California.
